hey, i'm jan.
i build software, communities, and whatever else seems worth making.
i study industrial engineering at KIT and spend my time building: AI automations, hardware experiments, and side projects. i spent two years in energy infrastructure, coordinating grid connections for utility-scale battery storage at terra one (100+ GW of applications processed, featured in handelsblatt). now i'm switching tracks toward hardware, automation, and AI.
outside of that i run communities: i founded the karlsruhe chapter of the young founders network, represent openai's codex program as ambassador in karlsruhe, and lead a weekly cold-plunge group that swims year-round.
