right now.
A quick snapshot of what I’m learning, building, and organizing.
The Switch
I closed the chapter on energy infrastructure this summer. Two years of grid connection work taught me plenty, including that I want to build things, not administer them. So I'm using the next months to get deeper into Python, Git, hardware prototyping (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino Nano), CAD (Blender, Onshape, Bambu Studio), and AI automation tools like Claude Code and n8n — and to document the results here.
Direction
My 2024–2026 Industrial Engineering coursework at KIT covered statistics, mathematics, operations research, and Java. I am now putting that systems background to work through more hands-on hardware and automation projects. I still run with KIT Run a few times a week and train Judo at BCK when the schedule allows.
Community
Still co-running YFN Karlsruhe with the local team — a proper little community of founders, students, and developers now, and it keeps growing. Talking to Codex and JetBrains about doing something together next.
Got picked for OpenAI's Codex Ambassador program in Karlsruhe back in June. Still figuring out what the first local event should even look like.
Still running Eisbaden Karlsruhe: weekly cold plunges, rain or shine, since I took it over in October 2024. Group's grown a lot. Next up: maybe a small medical study with some university students.
Building
I've built a few sensor and display prototypes, I'm slowly putting together a desktop companion thing, and the running-pace robot is still just an idea on paper. Details are on the projects page; smaller stuff lives on GitHub.
