What I’m doing
right now.
A quick snapshot of what I’m learning, building, and organizing.
The Switch
I closed the chapter on energy infrastructure this summer. Two years of grid connection work taught me plenty, including that I want to build things, not administer them. So I'm using the next months to learn more Python, Linux, Git, hardware prototyping (ESP32, Raspberry Pi), CAD, and AI automation, and to document the results here.
Direction
My 2024–2026 Industrial Engineering coursework at KIT covered statistics, mathematics, operations research, and Java. I am now putting that systems background to work through more hands-on hardware and automation projects. I still run with KIT Run a few times a week and train Judo at BCK when the schedule allows.
Community
I co-initiated and lead YFN Karlsruhe with the local team. More than 100 students, founders, and developers have joined our events and formats. We are currently planning future formats and partnerships with Codex, JetBrains, and local collaborators.
Since June I have been part of OpenAI's Codex Ambassador program in Karlsruhe. I am currently planning the first local formats around Codex, AI-assisted software development, and practical automation.
Still running Eisbaden Karlsruhe: weekly cold plunges, year-round, +320% members since I took over in October 2024. Next up: a medical study with students from local universities.
Building
I have built several sensor and display prototypes, I’m developing a modular desktop companion, and the running pace robot currently exists as requirements and an initial architecture. The details are on the projects page; smaller public experiments are on GitHub.
